Google Reviews · South Africa

Your competitors aren't better.
They just ask every time.

ApexSignal asks every customer for a Google review after every completed job — over WhatsApp, automatically. You keep working. The reviews accumulate.

Twenty-six reviews already puts a Gqeberha business in the top quarter of its trade. The businesses ranking above you usually aren't rated higher — often they're rated the same or worse. They've just been asking, and you've been asking when you remember.

Four steps, then it runs without you

1. Mark the job done

You or your admin marks the job complete. That's the only thing anyone has to remember.

2. Your customer gets a WhatsApp

Not an email they'll never open. A WhatsApp, which people actually read — sent a sensible interval after the work, not the second the van pulls away.

3. Two taps to your Google page

Happy customers land straight on your listing. Every customer is asked and everyone gets the same link — we don't filter who gets invited.

4. You hear about problems early

If something went wrong, it reaches you privately the same day — while you can still do something about it. That's in addition to the public request, not instead of it.

We ask everyone. That's not a limitation — it's the point.

The standard trick in this industry is to survey your customer first, send the happy ones to Google and quietly divert the unhappy ones to a private form. It's common, it's easy to build, and it breaks Google's review policies — which prohibit selectively soliciting positive reviews.

ApexSignal doesn't do it. Every customer gets the same request and the same link. What you get instead is early warning: if a job went badly you find out the same day, privately, in time to fix it. Nothing can stop a customer posting a bad review — anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something that doesn't work.

We run it on our own companies first

Brightsphere runs ApexSignal on Blitz Fibre and Velocity Fibre — two fibre businesses doing daily installations, both paying customers of the service. We built it because we needed it, and we won't put a client on something we haven't run ourselves.

Brightsphere's own Google listing carries a 5.0 review from Velocity Fibre, a named commercial client: "quick to respond and delivered every time… they did our website, in-house app, AI and WhatsApp integrations."

Common Questions

Do you only ask the happy ones?

No. Every customer is asked, and everyone gets the same Google link. Selectively asking only satisfied customers is called review gating and it breaks Google's review policies. If a job went wrong you hear about it privately the same day so you can fix it — but that's in addition to the public request, never instead of it.

What if I get a bad review?

You'd have got it anyway. Nothing can stop a customer posting on Google. What changes is that you hear about the problem the same day instead of reading it a week later — and a steady flow of happy customers moves your rating a lot faster than one unhappy one moves it back.

My customers won't bother leaving reviews.

Some won't. You don't need all of them — you need more than you're getting now, every month, without having to think about it. The median business in these metros sits somewhere between 8 and 20 reviews, so the bar is lower than it feels.

I'm already near the top of my trade. Why bother?

Google's local ranking weighs how recent and how steady your reviews are, not just the total. A business adding reviews every month can outrank a competitor sitting on a bigger but stale pile.
